Initial Coordination Meeting on Sectoral Land Use Balance for the Plantation Sector 2022

Banjarbaru – Yos Rusdiansyah, Head of the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, attended the initial coordination meeting for the preparation of the sectoral land use balance for the plantation sector in South Kalimantan Province, organized by the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) of South Kalimantan, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was accompanied by Rismanto, Coordinator of Production Statistics Function in South Kalimantan Province. 

As one of the speakers, the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province emphasized the importance of statistical data, referencing the president’s statement that data is a valuable asset, second only to oil. He presented techniques for collecting and utilizing statistical data related to plantations during the meeting. 

Several representatives from various departments and agencies also participated as speakers, including the Department of Plantations and Livestock of South Kalimantan Province, the Department of Public Works and Public Housing of South Kalimantan Province, the Forestry Department of South Kalimantan Province, and the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR-BPN). Held at the Grand Daffam Q-Hotel, the meeting featured lively discussions and exchanges of opinions and information among the participants. The presentation by the Head of BPS South Kalimantan also served as an initial step in socializing the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023). 

At the conclusion of the discussions, the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province expressed hope that coordination among departments and agencies would continue to strengthen in building a unified data system for the region.
