Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Presents Agricultural Data at 2023 Musrenbangtan

Banjarmasin – The Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, Yos Rusdiansyah, had the opportunity to serve as a speaker at the Agricultural Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbangtan) for the 2023 fiscal year. The event, organized by the South Kalimantan Department of Food Crops and Horticulture, was attended by participants from the Agricultural Departments of various districts and cities across South Kalimantan.

In his presentation, Yos Rusdiansyah discussed the growth and contribution of the agricultural sector to the economy of South Kalimantan, highlighting the area harvested and production figures for rice and horticultural crops. During the Q&A session, participants expressed interest in the Area Sampling Framework (KSA) method used by BPS to estimate harvest areas. A key point raised was the necessity for collaboration between BPS and the Agricultural Department at the sub-district level during the implementation of KSA, a suggestion that was welcomed by the Head of BPS.

Taking the theme "Strengthening Advanced, Independent, and Modern Agriculture in Facing Climate Change, Mitigating Natural Disaster Impacts, and Accelerating Economic Recovery," the two-day Musrenbangtan was attended by the Heads of Agricultural Departments from districts and cities throughout South Kalimantan on March 14-15, 2022, at Hotel Aria Barito in Banjarmasin. The event aimed to formulate plans and programs for the development of food crops and horticulture across South Kalimantan for the 2023 fiscal year. (Public Relations Team)
