Signing of the Cooperation Agreement for the Statistics Corner

Banjarbaru – On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, Yos Rusdiansyah, S.E., MM., and the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), Drs. Abdul Gafur, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to establish a Statistics Corner between BPS South Kalimantan and ULM.

The Statistics Corner is a collaborative service between BPS and universities, designed to benefit students and faculty as a place for discussion and to support research needs, in line with its tagline, “A Fun Place to Learn Statistics.”

The PKS signing ceremony began with remarks by Yos Rusdiansyah, who explained that the Statistics Corner is part of the BPS Goes to Campus program. He expressed hope that activities at the Statistics Corner in South Kalimantan would be successful through the cooperation between BPS South Kalimantan and ULM.

Dean Abdul Gafur also addressed the gathering, stating, “The Statistics Corner provides an excellent opportunity, especially for students, to learn how statistics are applied in the professional world.”

The signing event was also attended by the Statistics Corner teams from both BPS South Kalimantan and ULM. The meeting concluded with a presentation by ULM on the design of the Statistics Corner.
