Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Receives Award for Contribution to Socio-Economic Development

Banjarbaru – The local government of Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) District has expressed appreciation to Statistic of South Kalimantan Province for its contributions in providing regional macro indicators and strategic inputs that support policies positively impacting socio-economic development in HSS.

During a ceremony held at the Video Conference Room of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, the Head of the HSS Planning, Research, and Development Agency (Bappelitbangda), M. Arlyan Syahrial, presented an award certificate to the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, Yos Rusdiansyah, on Friday, August 5.

Yos Rusdiansyah welcomed the delegation from Bappelitbangda HSS, noting that such recognition is a rare occasion among other agencies. He highlighted that HSS is the first agency to award a certificate to Statistic of South Kalimantan Province. He further stated that, in addition to presenting essential data such as poverty and economic growth, BPS also serves as a decision support system that can aid various government policies. He expressed hope that the strong collaboration between Statistic of South Kalimantan Province and the HSS local government would continue and be emulated by other district governments.

Arlyan expressed his gratitude to both Statistic of HSS Regency and Statistic of South Kalimantan Province. "The inputs for advancing the economy of HSS resulting from previous visits to Statistic of South Kalimantan Province were promptly followed up. We held a meeting the following day with the relevant departments," he stated.

During the meeting, he also discussed several portals developed by the HSS local government that utilize BPS data, including geoportal.hulusungaiselatankab.go.id and satunik.hulusungaiselatankab.go.id, which are part of the One Data Indonesia initiative. He noted that these portals would help visualize the locations of poverty concentrations.

"The macro data available at BPS will be followed up in the district," Arlyan concluded.
