Plenary Meeting of Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation 2024

The Statistic of South Kalimantan Province held the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Evaluation Plenary Meeting (EPSS) on October 13-14 at the Grand Dafam Hotel, Banjarbaru. The event was attended by representatives from the Assessment Team (TPB) and the Quality Assurance Team (TPK) from 13 BPS offices across South Kalimantan’s regencies and cities, as well as representatives from Regional Government Organizations (OPD) involved in sectoral statistics development in the province.

Martin Wibisono, Head of the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, in his opening remarks, explained that the purpose of the EPSS is to measure the progress of sectoral statistics implementation, improve the quality of sectoral statistics, and enhance public service quality in the field of statistics. These objectives aim to produce the Statistical Development Index (IPS), which serves as an indicator for the General Bureaucratic Reform Evaluation and the One Data Indonesia Assessment.

Over the course of the two-day meeting, participants engaged in various discussion and evaluation sessions focused on improving the quality of sectoral statistical data, strengthening coordination between teams, and identifying challenges and solutions in regional statistics development. The commitment and contributions of all parties were seen as key to the success of sectoral statistics management. The event was expected to align evaluation perspectives and gather suggestions and feedback for sustainable improvements in sectoral statistics management.
