Data and Business Synergy: BPS South Kalimantan and APINDO Ready to Support SE 2026

Statistics (BPS) of South Kalimantan Province conducted an audience meeting with APINDO in Banjarmasin as part of efforts to strengthen synergy between the government and the business sector in responding to regional economic dynamics, on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The meeting discussed various strategic issues, particularly in the field of employment. APINDO shared the latest labor conditions and the challenges faced by businesses in maintaining stability and productivity. The discussion was constructive, focusing on improving workforce quality and creating sustainable employment opportunities.

In addition, the national economic growth target of 8 percent was also highlighted. BPS emphasized the importance of accurate data support and close collaboration between the government and the business sector to achieve this target.

On this occasion, BPS also presented the plan for the 2026 Economic Census as an effort to obtain a comprehensive overview of business activities. Support from APINDO is expected to encourage active participation from business actors in providing accurate and timely data.

The meeting concluded with a joint commitment to continue strengthening coordination to support well-targeted policy formulation and promote inclusive and sustainable regional economic growth.
