Profile of Population of Kalimantan Selatan Province Results of Supas 2015

The Intercensal Population Survey (SUPAS) is a population survey conducted between two censuses. Prior to SUPAS 2015, this survey activity had been carried out four times, namely, in 1976, 1985, 1995 and 2005. The objectives of implementing SUPAS2015 were to be able to estimate the number, distribution and composition of the population, to provide data on demographic characteristics and to calculate demographic parameters, as correction of the results of the 2010-2035 population projection, and as a material for planning and evaluating development programs. The data presented includes basic information on population, birth, death, population movements, housing and living conditions. In SUPAS 2015 the scope of the data is coupled with disability, mobility, urbanization and climate change. The information submitted includes the overall information on the characteristics of the residents of the Kalimantan Selatan Province.
