STATISTICS CORNER: A FORM OF COLLABORATION BETWEEN BPS AND ULM

Banjarmasin – Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Engages in Dialogue with Lambung Mangkurat University

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province held an audience with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) in the university's rectorate meeting room in Banjarmasin.

The meeting was attended by Yos Rusdiansyah, S.E., M.M., Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, along with the Coordinators of Production Statistics, Distribution Statistics, and the IPDS Function. ULM was represented by Rector Prof. Dr. H. Sutarto Hadi, M.Si., M.Sc., as well as the Vice Deans II and III of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and several representatives from the Faculty.

The discussion focused on the plan to establish a "Statistics Corner" as part of a national agenda initiated by Statistic Indonesia-BPS. Yos Rusdiansyah emphasized that one of the aims of the Statistics Corner is to ensure that the outputs produced by BPS, namely statistical data and indicators, are maximally utilized, particularly by students and academics, who are the largest consumers of BPS data.

Sutarto Hadi welcomed the plan for the Statistics Corner and expressed hopes that it would mark the beginning of a collaborative relationship between BPS and ULM. Furthermore, the Statistics Corner is expected to serve as a platform for introducing and educating ULM students and academics about the data and indicators generated by BPS.

The Statistics Corner is planned to be located on the ULM Banjarbaru campus. The audience also discussed specific details regarding the facilities, infrastructure, and decor that will be used in the Statistics Corner. (Public Relations Team)
