Customs Office Meets Statistic of South Kalimantan Province to Discuss MSME Data Coordination

Banjarbaru – Rudie Bayu, Head of the Customs and Excise Division at the Banjarmasin Customs Office, along with his team, visited the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province on March 17, 2022, for a meeting aimed at fostering relationships and coordinating regarding micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) data.

The meeting took place in the leadership meeting room on the second floor of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, where the Customs delegation was warmly welcomed by Yos Rusdiansyah, Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province; Ahmad Mudzakkir, Head of the General Affairs Division; and senior statisticians from the BPS Distribution Statistics Division.

In his opening remarks, Yos Rusdiansyah outlined BPS's duties and functions in the field of statistics, as mandated by the Statistics Law. He explained that BPS's primary responsibility is to conduct basic statistics through various censuses, including the Population Census, Agricultural Census, and Economic Census. Additionally, BPS engages in statistical surveys, such as the National Social and Economic Survey (Susenas), the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), and the Cost of Living Survey (SBH), among others.

Regarding MSME data, BPS collects comprehensive information through the Economic Census, the latest of which was conducted in 2016. During this meeting, the team presented the profile of micro and small enterprises in South Kalimantan based on the results of the 2016 Economic Census.
