Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Conducts Advanced Regional Instructor Training for SP2020

Banjarbaru – On Monday (March 28, 2022), the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province commenced the virtual Advanced Regional Instructor Training (Inda) for the 2020 Population Census (SP2020). This training was attended by representatives from BPS offices across districts, cities, and provinces in South Kalimantan.  

The event began with remarks from the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, delivered by the Lead Instructor for the Advanced SP2020, Agung Setiawan Prasetya. He emphasized the importance of closely monitoring the SP2020 as it will yield data related to demographic parameters such as birth rates, death rates, and population migration, along with other vital information needed to generate indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) in the population sector. This ensures that the training proceeds smoothly and successfully.  

The Inda training is scheduled to last for four days, from Monday to Thursday, March 28-31, 2022, for areas using the Paper Assisted Personal Interviewing (PAPI) method, which includes 11 districts in South Kalimantan Province. For areas employing the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method, such as Banjarbaru and Banjarmasin, the training will extend over five days, concluding on April 1, 2022. This Advanced Inda training aims to produce trained instructors in each district and city who will teach the SP2020 officers during future sessions.
