Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Holds Internal Consolidation Meeting for Regsosek 2022 Implementation

Banjarbaru – Statistic of South Kalimantan Province conducted an internal consolidation meeting regarding the implementation of the Preliminary Data Collection for the Social Economic Registration (Regsosek 2022) on Tuesday, August 16, in the Vicon Room on the first floor of the BPS office. This meeting followed a similar session held the previous day, August 15, at the same location.

The meeting was held in a hybrid format, with in-person attendance from the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province team, including the Head of the General Affairs Division, Function Coordinators, Commitment-Making Officials, procurement officers, and the Social Statistics and IPDS Function team. Heads and representatives of BPS from various districts and cities also participated virtually via Zoom.

“Regsosek 2022 is a follow-up to President Joko Widodo's directive to eradicate extreme poverty in Indonesia,” stated Nurul Sabah, Coordinator of the Social Statistics Function and the technical lead for Regsosek 2022 in South Kalimantan. She further explained that there would be two major phases: field data collection in 2022 and data processing in 2023. Training for field staff will take place from September 28 to October 8, 2022, organized by BPS in all districts and cities of South Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Mudzakkir, Head of the General Affairs Division, emphasized the importance of synergy and coordination with various stakeholders, including local governments. This activity requires support, particularly from regional leaders such as the Governor and the Mayors.

The meeting discussed the needs for personnel, training locations, and the procurement of documents and instruments for field staff. All participants expressed their hope for a smooth implementation of Regsosek 2022 in South Kalimantan.
