Supervision Sakernas 2024

From August 8 to August 31, 2024, the Statistic Indonesia-BPS is conducting the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), which captures the employment conditions in Indonesia, including in Banjarmasin City. The Head of the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, Martin Wibisono, personally oversaw the Sakernas enumeration at selected households in Sungai Mufti Village, North Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City, on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Martin, accompanied by the Head of the Statistic of Banjarmasin Regency, Sukma, and her team, aimed to ensure that the Sakernas data collection process was carried out according to the concepts, definitions, and standard operating procedures (SOP) set by BPS. This is crucial as Sakernas produces various strategic indicators, including the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK), Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), Employment Opportunity Rate (TKK), and others.

During the visit, Martin provided direct feedback to the field officers and the Sakernas team from BPS Banjarmasin. He emphasized that officers must conduct thorough probing to extract detailed information from respondents and ensure the survey questions are properly understood.
