Coordination Meeting on RTLH in South Kalimantan: Focus on Data Sources

March 12, 2025 | BPS Activities

Banjarbaru - On Monday (11/3), a Coordination Meeting on the Database for the Implementation of the Handling of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH) took place, which was attended by the Head of South Kalimantan BPS, Martin Wibisono, accompanied by Ahmadi Murjani, an Associate Expert Statistician, the Office of Communication and Information, the Office of Settlement and Housing Areas, Bappeda, and related stakeholders. This meeting discussed the preparation of the 2025-2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), especially related to the indicators of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH) at the provincial and district / city levels in South Kalimantan.

One of the main issues discussed was determining the source of data to be used as a baseline. Currently, Regsosek data is still being considered because it has By Name By Address (BNBA) characteristics and completeness of RTLH constituent variables, although the available data is still based on 2022 conditions. Meanwhile, the available Susenas data is still in percentage form, which provides less analytical rigor compared to the absolute numbers contained in Regsosek.

To ensure more accurate targeting and policy planning, the South Kalimantan Provincial Housing and Settlement Office will coordinate further with Bappeda and attempt to collect supporting data from BPS South Kalimantan Province.
