Results of the 2020 Population Census Long Form for Kalimantan Selatan Province

South Kalimantan is the province with the second largest population in the Kalimantan region after West Kalimantan. With the right strategy, residents can become a force to make KALSEL MAJU (South Kalimantan Prosperous, Prosperous and Sustainable). In order to realize the ideals of an advanced Indonesia, in 2022, exactly #one decade of Indonesia's demographic bonus, BPS is endeavoring to complete the mandate to implement the Long Form SP2020 with various challenges in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. By the Grace of God Almighty accompanied by the hard work of all parties, the Long Form SP2020 field data collection has been completed. The SP2020 Long Form carries a big mission as a Benchmark for Indonesia's population indicators, a Portrait of Indonesia's Demographics after going through the 2nd wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic, evaluation of development achievements in the population sector in the SDGs and RPJMN, as well as being the basis for determining Indonesia's development policies towards Golden Indonesia 2045. Although The Long Form SP2020 was implemented in the midst of a pandemic, but there were several innovations implemented, one of which was the use of the CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) mode, which was implemented for the first time in the history of the population census in Indonesia. The journey of implementation and results of the Long Form SP2020 is briefly presented in the Population Indicators Outcome of the Long Form SP2020 booklet. This booklet presents a comprehensive picture of the state of Indonesia's population based on the results of the Long Form SP2020. The basic data coverage of the SP2020 Long Form results are indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility, disability, education, and housing. It is hoped that the provision of demographic parameters and their characteristics will produce indicators to monitor and evaluate the achievement of the SDGs and RPJMN targets in the population sector.
