Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Prepares for the 2022 Household Consumption Survey (SBH)

Banjarmasin - "The series of activities for the 2022 SBH will commence at the end of 2021, including training for field officers and updating selected census blocks. Field implementation will take place in 2022, followed by processing and socializing the SBH results in 2023, and using the results for calculating the Consumer Price Index (IHK) in 2024," said Yos Rusdiansyah, Head of BPS South Kalimantan, during the preparatory meeting for the Household Consumption Survey (SBH) 2022 and evaluation of activities conducted by BPS in the regencies/cities of South Kalimantan, held at Hotel Aria Barito on October 21-22, 2021.

A total of 118 participants attended the meeting, consisting of 27 representatives from Statistic of South Kalimantan Province and 91 from BPS in the regencies/cities across South Kalimantan. Participants from Statistic of South Kalimantan Province included heads, division heads, function coordinators, and sub-coordinators, while participants from BPS in the regencies/cities included heads, heads of general subsections, and function coordinators.

This event was organized to prepare for the implementation of the 2022 Household Consumption Survey (SBH) and to evaluate the activities conducted by BPS in the regencies/cities during the current year of 2021.

The meeting featured two competent speakers. A representative from the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of South Kalimantan presented on the utilization of inflation data in regional planning and evaluation. Meanwhile, the second speaker from the Department of Trade discussed the role of local government through the Department of Trade in maintaining price stability in South Kalimantan.
