Banjarbaru – In celebration of Eid al-Adha 1443 H, the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province conducted a sacrificial animal slaughter on Monday, July 11, 2022. The event took place at the BPS office in South Kalimantan, where three cows, donated by employees and their families, were sacrificed.
With the assistance of Mr. H.M. Zaenuri, a retired employee of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, all staff members participated in the process of slaughtering, cooking, and distributing the sacrificial meat. A total of 490 coupons were distributed to employees and local residents surrounding the BPS office.
In his remarks, Yos Rusdiansyah, Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, stated that the sacrificial animal slaughter at BPS is a form of contribution to the local community, and he hopes it brings blessings to those who participated in the sacrifice.
Overall, the event ran smoothly, despite an incident where one of the cows resisted, which was quickly managed by the organizing committee. After the slaughtering and distribution of the sacrificial meat, the event concluded with a communal meal attended by all employees of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province.
