Yos Rusdiansyah Discusses the Role of BPS at the Pre-Forum Coordination Meeting for ODI

Tanah Bumbu – Yos Rusdiansyah, the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, attended the pre-forum coordination meeting for the One Data Indonesia initiative in South Kalimantan, aimed at achieving a unified data framework for the region in 2022, on Friday, July 15, 2022. During this event, he was given the opportunity to present the role of BPS in implementing One Data Indonesia.

In his remarks, Yos Rusdiansyah emphasized the growing necessity of One Data Indonesia. The initiative is intended to regulate the management of data generated by central and regional agencies to support planning, implementation, evaluation, and control of development activities.

Furthermore, he explained that BPS is designated as the agency responsible for overseeing sectoral statistics. As a regulatory body, BPS is obligated to provide guidance on sectoral statistics to relevant agencies. He expressed hope that these statistical agencies would actively report their sectoral statistical activities and subsequently receive recommendation letters from BPS.

In conclusion, Yos Rusdiansyah expressed his desire for ongoing coordination between BPS and the agencies responsible for sectoral statistics. He reiterated that BPS remains open to providing guidance and support for statistical activities until they receive the necessary recommendation letters for their sectoral statistics initiatives.
