Vertical Agency Leadership Forum of South Kalimantan Supports Regsosek

Banjarbaru – The Statistic of South Kalimantan Province had the opportunity to host a meeting of the Vertical Agency Leadership Forum for the South Kalimantan Province on October 18, 2022. Taking advantage of this moment, Yos Rusdiansyah, the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, along with Nurul Sabah, a Senior Statistician in the Social Statistics Function, promoted the initial data collection activities for the Social Economic Registration (Regsosek) in 2022.

In his opening remarks, Yos Rusdiansyah emphasized the importance of Regsosek in realizing reforms in the social protection system. Regsosek was conducted from October 15 to November 14, 2022, across Indonesia, with all residents being enumerated by Regsosek officers. “Paman Birin, the Governor of South Kalimantan, was among the first to be registered by BPS on the first day of Regsosek implementation,” Yos Rusdiansyah added.

During the meeting, all leaders and representatives of the agencies expressed their support for the Regsosek initiative in South Kalimantan. As a form of support, they committed to disseminating information about Regsosek to all employees in their respective agencies. However, Imam Subarkah, Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for South Kalimantan, cautioned about exercising caution during field operations, especially with the political year approaching.

The forum meeting was attended by representatives from 19 vertical agencies in South Kalimantan Province. Many were present in person, including the Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for South Kalimantan, the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial DJPB Office, the Head of BPKP South Kalimantan, the Head of the Banjarmasin Social Welfare Education and Training Center (BPPKS), and the Head of the South and Central Kalimantan DJKN Office.
