The Declaration of the Integrity Zone at Statistic of Banjarbaru Regency

The Head of the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province attended the Declaration of the Integrity Zone (ZI) of BPS Banjarbaru City on Tuesday (May 21) at Favehotel Banjarbaru, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Banjarbaru City. The event was also attended by the Regional Secretary of Banjarbaru City, representing the Mayor, and various members of the Banjarbaru City Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda). 

During the event, the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province emphasized BPS's commitment to building the Integrity Zone towards becoming a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and a Clean and Service-Oriented Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM) through excellent service to the public and all data users. He also highlighted the importance of coordination with local governments as one of the primary users of BPS data, aligning with the efforts to implement Indonesia's One Data policy (SDI).

The Regional Secretary of Banjarbaru City underscored the significance of the Integrity Zone initiative in maintaining the quality and integrity of government services, particularly in the responsible use of budgets and the implementation of activities accountable to the public. He further emphasized that BPS must not only demonstrate integrity in budget management but also in the data it produces and disseminates to the public. This requires careful attention at every stage of the data collection process, from ensuring the qualifications of field officers, to the methodologies used, and the practices employed during field data collection, so that the resulting statistics are reliable and can be used as a basis for government policy-making.

Following the signing of the ZI declaration charter by the Head of Statistic of South Kalimantan Province, Statistic of Banjarbaru Regency, the Regional Secretary, and Forkopimda members, the event continued with a session on Sectoral Statistics Guidance.
