Pelaihari (August 3, 2020) – The Statistic of South Kalimantan Province Unit of Korpri continued the tradition of Qurbani (sacrificial offering) despite the ongoing pandemic. The event was held in observance of Eid al-Adha 1441H, with strict adherence to health protocols.
On the third day of Tasyrik, three cows were sacrificed. The meat was packaged into 472 parcels for distribution to the surrounding community near the Statistic of South Kalimantan Province office.
Due to the pandemic, several adjustments were made compared to previous years. Participants witnessed the sacrificial process via Zoom meeting, and the distribution of the meat was delivered directly to residents' homes. Notably, the sacrificial rites were not conducted in the backyard of the BPS office as in previous years, but instead took place at the Tanah Laut BPS grounds.
